A Walk through History with the Most Popular Woman from Poreč
Anyone interested can take an interpretive walk through Poreč’s history today, with the most popular fellow citizen from the song La mula de Parenzo. Those who want to spend this holiday walking around the city and learn something new can come at 11 am in front of the La mula de Parenzo Visitor Center located on the main square (Trg slobode) in Poreč and learn a lot about the unofficial anthem of the city of the same name and many other interesting facts.
Thus, along with the interpretation of the acting troupe from Pula’s Teatar Naranča, all those interested will have the opportunity to get acquainted with the song La mula de Parenzo, but also with interesting events and people from the past of Poreč a hundred or more years ago. The characters of an old fisherman, a fish seller, a shopkeeper, and even the famous American writer Ernest Hemingway will tell them about history. As part of the walk, they will stop at various points from the North Tower, to Marafor Square, the city waterfront, Fisherman’s Square and back to La mula de Parenzo Center.
