Four New Year’s Eves in Poreč

Tomorrow is New Year’s Eve, which traditionally throughout Istria gathers a large number of guests eager to have a good time outdoors. A dozen hotels are open in Poreč during the holidays, and the organizers of Advent Poreč made sure that the craziest night of the year would pass in a good mood, with as many as four gatherings!

Thus, a reception will be organized for the youngest on Saturday, December 31 at 11 am at Matije Gupca Square. There will be animations and children’s performances by Teatar Naranča, fireworks, confetti and music.

At the same time, on the main square (Trg slobode), the warm-up for the evening reception will begin with Trio Discover. In the evening, one of the longest-running and most popular bands of the Croatian scene – Prljavo kazalište – will take the stage at the square. With their eternal hits such as “Marina”, “Te noći kad si se udavala”, “Heroj ulice” and others, they will usher the people of Poreč and all the guests into the new year 2023, with a traditional toast at midnight with the mayor of Poreč, Loris Peršurić.

A parallel reception will also be held on Matije Gupca Square, with DJ David, for all those looking for something different to have a good time, and the good fun on New Year’s Eve will continue until the early hours of the morning at numerous locations in the city.

On New Year’s Eve, parking will be free in all open and closed parking lots in the city.

On January 1, there will be a replay of the New Year’s Eve with Night Express on Matije Gupca Square, which will officially close Advent in Poreč. However, in the heart of the old town, the free skating rink continues to operate until January 8.

In addition to the City of Poreč, the partners of Advent Poreč are the Poreč Tourist Board, Plava Laguna and Valamar. The co-organizers are the Public Open University Poreč, Usluga Poreč, Odvodnja Poreč, City Library Poreč, Youth Club Poreč, Local Museum Poreština, La mula de Parenzo Visitor Center, Sports Association of the City of Poreč, Poreč associations as well as all schools and kindergartens and many others, announced the City of Poreč.
