Museum Night in Poreč on Friday, January 27
This year’s 18th Museum Night will be held on Friday, January 27, under the theme “Museums Are Important”.
This year’s Museum Night event in Poreč will be marked by a diverse program that includes expert walking tour at the historic town center, a ceramic workshop for children, lectures, readings of drama classics, and the central part of the program refers to the presentation of new acquisitions from the legacy of the Polesini family and conversations with the last descendant of the family. As of this year, the museum is richer for about a hundred museum objects that make up the exceptional artistic, photographic and book-documentary legacy of the Polesini family. This valuable legacy documents the history of one of the most important Istrian noble families, but also the life of Poreč and Poreč surroundings (Poreština) from the end of the 18th century to the middle of the 20th century.
The event will take place in the Istrian Assembly Hall (Istarska sabornica) (M. Laginje 6 Street), while the children’s workshop, with prior notice, will take place in the museum’s ceramics workshop (Sv. Mauro 10 Street).
The walking tour at historic town center with Davor Munda will take place at 6 pm and last an hour and a half.
