(f)regata La Mula De Parenzo Poreč 2023 This Saturday

Poreč is gearing up to host the annual (f)regata La Mula De Parenzo, a prestigious sailing event that forms part of the renowned Argonaut Cup. Sailors from around the region will compete in a thrilling navigation regatta, starting from the port of Poreč and concluding in the waters of Novigrad. One of the highlights of this regatta is that it always takes place along the coastline, offering spectators the opportunity to enjoy the event from the shore.

On Friday, May 26, boats will be moored on pontoons in front of the club or on the operational shore beneath the Palazzo Hotel in Poreč’s harbor from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM. During this time, participants can collect their race numbers at JK Horizont Poreč between 7:00 PM and 8:00 PM. Following that, a Sailor’s Evening will take place at JK Horizont Poreč from 8:00 PM to 10:00 PM, where sailors can socialize, share their experiences, and recount tales from the sea.

The main event of the regatta will unfold on Saturday, May 27. Boats will be moored on pontoons in front of the club (Zeroth Sail) from 6:00 AM to 10:30 AM, with participants being able to collect their race numbers and organize their crews at JK Horizont Poreč during the same time. The Skippers’ Meeting at JK Horizont will take place from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM, followed by the regatta itself from 12:30 PM to 5:00 PM.

After the regatta concludes, the winners will be announced and awards will be presented from 6:30 PM to 8:30 PM at the HALF8 terrace in Novigrad. A dinner for regatta participants will also be organized at the same location. Following the official proceedings, a surprise awaits all sailing enthusiasts—a surprise concert and sailing festivity at 9:00 PM in Novigrad.

All interested sailors are required to register via the online form no later than May 26 at 11:59 PM. The registration fee is 20 € per crew member and should be paid to the club’s account HR8123800061110008215 IKB.
