Promohotel Fair 2024 in Poreč on Feb 28 – Mar 2
In what marks almost a celebratory milestone, the 39th edition of Promohotel is set to grace the halls of Žatika in Poreč, where over 150 exhibitors will showcase more than 500 brands. As the leading tourism region in Croatia, Istria will welcome experts from across Croatia and neighboring countries from February 28th to March 2nd, offering insights into their experiences and presenting the latest trends and technology related to food, beverages, and tourism equipment production. Being the county topping the charts in terms of arrivals and overnight stays in Croatia, Istria sets the standard high when it comes to service excellence, making it the logical destination for those seeking insights into such operational methods and guest approaches, as emphasized by the organizers.
Promohotel, far beyond being a mere platform for uncovering the latest trends and technologies, serves as a hub facilitating robust business connections, knowledge exchange among experts, and an opportunity to explore new market avenues. “Our goal is to bring global innovations and practices closer, enriching business strategies and enhancing operations, whether for family-run accommodations or large hotel chains,” elucidates the fair’s director, Ivana Štiković.
This year’s event is once again supported by the City of Poreč.
“Promohotel has now become a traditional precursor to the season in our city, signaling the end of winter and the onset of preparations for the new tourism season. As an international fair, with nearly 40 editions, it has paved the way for other exhibitions, proving that Poreč is capable of organizing large international fairs and events effectively,” stated Mayor Loris Peršurić, expressing gratitude to the organizers for their consistent efforts in providing access to numerous novelties and brands in Poreč each year, thus making the fair continually engaging and appealing to a broad audience.
This year anticipates over six thousand visitors who will gain insight into innovative hospitality technologies, the latest hotel equipment and cosmetics, and culinary delights, and directly exchange experiences through workshops and panel discussions. Over 20 lectures, presentations, and panel discussions within the Education Point will introduce current and useful tools for business improvement, spanning from digital marketing and artificial intelligence in tourism to employing persons with disabilities and positioning Istria as a destination for weddings and events. A topic of significant interest already is the impact of legal regulations DAC7 and DSA on lessors, or lessors’ experiences with the profitability of working with intermediary platforms.
Entrance to the fair and more than 20 educational lectures, presentations, and panel discussions is free, with prior registration on the official website promohotel.hr. The educational program is held in collaboration with the Regional Chamber of Commerce of the West Bačka Administrative District, the Croatian Chamber of Economy – County Chamber of Pula, the Society for Research and Support, the Institute for Agriculture and Tourism in Poreč, and others.
With an exhibition space spanning an impressive 5,000 square meters, Promohotel 2024 will ceremoniously open on Wednesday, February 28th, at 12 p.m., welcoming visitors until 7 p.m. On Thursday and Friday, the fair will operate from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., and on Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
