Gelato Park Coming Soon to Poreč – Istria’s First Ice Cream Festival

Today, at a press conference held in the Small Council Hall of the City of Poreč, Mayor Loris Peršurić and Nenad Velenik, Director of the Poreč Tourist Board, announced the inaugural Gelato Park, the first ice cream festival in Istria. This sweetest event of the season will take place from June 28th to 30th at Olga Ban Park, right by the sea in the heart of the city.

Gelato Park will be open daily from 6 PM to midnight, offering visitors the chance to indulge in premium ice creams and a rich entertainment program. The festival will gather renowned ice cream producers from across Croatia, including Aroma Global 3 Ltd. from Zagreb, Sladka kuglica Ltd. from Pazin, Pomaj Gelato Ltd. from Pula, Storia Gelato from Rijeka, Gusto Amore from Poreč, and Ledo, who has recognized the event’s significance and become its sponsor.

– We are grateful to the companies and businesses that have joined us for the first edition of this festival. Alongside them, we have Ledo, our sponsor, and we look forward to a long-term collaboration, emphasized Velenik.

Each producer will offer one product at a promotional price. In addition to ice cream, visitors can enjoy a diverse program suitable for all ages, including juggling workshops, dance performances, stilt walker animations, and children’s shows. Special attractions include a detective scavenger hunt, balloon animal workshops, DJ performances, and concerts. Friday will feature the band Febra, Saturday will showcase Mia Dimšić and her band, while Sunday will be closed by Top of the Pops, culminating with an evening fireworks display.

In addition to entertainment, Gelato Park will feature a Photobooth Bus for unforgettable memories, and local restaurants will offer selected ice creams at promotional prices. Participating venues include Il gelato di Salvatore, Gelateria Venti 22, Gelateria Dolce Vita, La Plage bar, and Bubble Planet.

During the festival, Zagrebačka, Nikole Tesle, Otokara Keršovanija, and Jože Šurana streets will be temporarily closed to traffic from 5:30 PM to 12:30 AM.

– We’ve made efforts to organize something new and different at the request of our fellow citizens. We believe that the Ice Cream Festival will attract a large number of visitors and we thank everyone who contributed to organizing this event, said Peršurić.

Ledo, as a partner and sponsor of the festival, also announces special activities for children and invites visitors to try their new ice cream offerings.
