Gušti merkata 2024 Revitalized Poreč Market

The Gušti merkata event, which ran from May to September, brought life back to the Poreč city market, becoming a central gathering point for the local community. Organized by Usluga Poreč, the initiative aimed to turn the market into a meeting place while promoting local producers, authentic products, and the tradition of Poreč.

Support from Local Partners

With the support of the City of Poreč and the Poreč Tourist Board, Gušti merkata successfully hosted a wide range of local vendors and hospitality businesses. These included the Anton Štifanić Tourism and Hospitality School, Valamar Riviera, Pelagius Catering, Spritz Bar Parencan, Arman Butchery, Bura Brew Brewery, and Brčić and Terzolo wineries.

Culinary Delights and Atmosphere

Visitors enjoyed local delicacies such as pljukanci with asparagus, bakalar, sardines, meat specialties, craft beers, and fine wines. Adding to the vibrant atmosphere, musicians Petar Banko and Serđo Valić performed, enhancing the authentic market experience.
