Rally Poreč 2025: Rok Turk and Blanka Kacin Take the Win

The high-speed spectacle of Rally Poreč 2025 thrilled motorsport fans this weekend as Rok Turk and Blanka Kacin from Slovenia claimed a decisive victory. Driving a Hyundai i20 N Rally2, the duo led the competition across the demanding roads of western Istria from Friday to Sunday.
From the opening stages, Turk and Kacin established a strong lead over fellow Slovenians Marko Grossi and Tara Berlot in a Citroën C3 Rally2, and Hungarians Antal Kovacs and Richard Csaki in another Hyundai i20 N Rally2. Their advantage only grew during Sunday’s shorter stages, sealing the win with a 38-second margin over Grossi and Berlot, and 1:16.8 ahead of Kovacs and Csaki.
Top Performers Across Championships
In the Croatian Championship, 17-year-old Italian Matteo Bernini and co-driver Lorenzo Mattucci impressed by finishing seventh overall and first in the national competition in their Hyundai i20 R5. Vjekoslav Čičko and Eugen Kokolić followed, securing second in the domestic standings and tenth overall.
The Hungarian pair, Janos Szilagyi and Fanni Molnar, finished twelfth overall, also clinching third place in the Croatian Championship.
Class Winners and Mitropa Rally Cup Highlights
In Class 1, Čičko and Kokolić joined Szilagyi and Molnar on the podium, along with Denis Močibob and Patrik Vivoda in a Citroën DS3 R3 Max. Class 2 saw Marko Fakin and Aleksandar Radovčić dominate in their Renault Clio Rally5. Meanwhile, fierce competition in Class 3 ended with Igor Mandić and Albert Ivančić celebrating victory in a VW Polo Cup, just 3.9 seconds ahead of Nikola Labaš and Stjepan Jurković.
The Mitropa Rally Cup was conquered by Slovakia’s Robert Kolčak and Julius Lapdavsky, who piloted their Škoda Fabia RS Rally2 to an impressive fourth-place overall. Slovenians Ivan Hrženjak and Rok Gomizelj finished second, while Italians Federico Bottoni and Sofia Peruzzi claimed third.
Spectators Flock to a Revitalized Rally Poreč
Eighty-five teams from eight countries started the event, with 66 reaching the finish line. Despite a few technical issues and minor off-road incidents, the competition remained safe and thrilling. The return of stages in Žonti and Oprtalj drew large crowds, who enjoyed sunny Sunday weather and an action-packed weekend.
Visitors also got a close-up look at over €3 million worth of rally cars during ceremonial events at Peškera Bay. With positive reviews from drivers and fans alike, anticipation is already building for the 27th edition of Rally Poreč.
