Experience Poreč like never before this summer with the return of the La Mula de Parenzo walk, a free cultural tour that blends history, heritage, and live storytelling through the city’s enchanting old town.

Step Back in Time with Live Storytelling

Nine free walking tours are scheduled from June to September 2025, each starting from 7 PM (or 5 PM in late September). The tours begin on June 26 and are part of the popular “Poreč Summer” (Porečko ljeto) festival, a highlight for visitors seeking cultural depth and local charm.

This year, the experience gets even more immersive. Amateur actors from Poreč will portray colorful characters from the city’s past—residents and historical figures from the 19th and 20th centuries. The lively performances unfold at key landmarks, including the Northern Tower, Marafor Square, the waterfront, and the Fishermen’s Square.

Discover the Spirit of a Beloved Song

The tour celebrates the spirit of the famous song “La mula de Parenzo,” widely considered the unofficial anthem of the city. Designed to promote the Visitor Center of the same name, this interactive experience combines music, storytelling, and history in a way that brings the city’s soul to life.
