Easter in Poreč 2025: Fun and Flavors Await on Freedom Square

Easter in Poreč kicks off today on the city’s central Freedom Square (Trg slobode), offering a vibrant mix of local tradition, food, music, and fun for all generations. The celebration runs from April 18 to 21 and is jointly organized by the Poreč Tourist Board and the City of Poreč.

Local Products and Sweet Surprises

The event opens with a fair of traditional Istrian products, where around ten local producers will showcase items like honey and bee products, olive oils, lavender and hemp items, wines, rakija, and aromatic herbs. The fair will be open daily from 10 AM to 4 PM.

Saturday, April 19, brings the highlight of the weekend with “Sweet Easter Morning” from 10 AM to noon. Prepared by students and mentors of the Anton Štifanić Tourism and Hospitality School, it features authentic Istrian desserts, a chocolate fountain, and other treats.

Entertainment for Kids and Families

Saturday also features a rich animation program for children with face painting, creative workshops, and games led by animators. The Easter Bunny will make a special appearance, handing out chocolate eggs and sweet surprises.

The local group Capybara will organize traditional egg games like egg tapping and rolling, alongside a “Jajolov” (Easter Egg Hunt). There will also be board games and cornhole, a fun bean bag toss game perfect for the whole family.

Local associations Phronesis and SOS Šape Poreč will also join the program on Saturday to present their work.

Easter Sunday and Beyond

On Sunday, April 20, from 10 AM till noon, all visitors are invited to a free Easter brunch on the square, with live music from Big Band Pula continuing until 1 PM.

The event concludes on Monday, April 21 with the final day of the local products fair, open from 10 AM to 4 PM.
