Porečki delfin 2025: Sport Festival Returns Stronger Than Ever

After 24 years, the iconic Porečki delfin is making a powerful return. The 2025 edition will be held from August 29 to 31 in Poreč, bringing a richer program, a fresh visual identity, and a new wave of energy to the Adriatic’s most beloved swimming event.

Following last year’s 1,800 participants, organizers now expect a record 2,000 athletes and enthusiasts, including many from Hungary and Italy.

More Than a Marathon: A Full Water Sports Festival

Swimming remains at the heart of the event, with races at 500, 1,500, 3,000, and 5,000 meters. But Porečki delfin 2025 evolves into a full-blown festival of water sports, adding new disciplines to attract an even wider crowd.

This year’s program includes:

• Water polo tournament
• Aquathlon (swimming + running)
• SUP regatta
• Kayak races
• Sailing
• Scuba diving

“We aimed to create the largest swimming marathon on the Adriatic,” said Nenad Velenik, Director of the Poreč Tourist Board. “With more disciplines and more fun, we’re inviting locals, tourists, athletes, and families to join.”

Free Entry for Local Sports Clubs

The event is organized by the Poreč Sports Association, with support from the City of Poreč and its Tourist Board. Mayor Loris Peršurić confirmed that local sports clubs will again enjoy free registration, encouraging even broader community participation.

“Porečki delfin plays a key role in connecting sport and tourism. It enriches our city’s summer offer and promotes active lifestyles for all ages,” Peršurić added.

Fresh Visual Identity and a Brand New Website

This year’s edition comes with a sleek new logo and redesigned website, courtesy of digital agency Superior Design. Designer Marko Cvijić explained that the simplified logo fits perfectly across digital platforms and billboards, while the modern website offers easy sign-ups across all sports.
