Easter 2024 in Poreč

The extended Easter weekend promises, as per all announcements, beautiful weather and a rich program for all generations at Freedom Square (Trg slobode), prepared by the Poreč Tourist Board and the City of Poreč.

From Friday to Monday, from 10 am to 4 pm, the Fair of Traditional Istrian Products will showcase products from about ten stands offering typical Istrian goods such as honey and bee products, olive oil, wine, vegetables, hemp products, and lavender products.

On Saturday, from 10 am to 1 pm, a program tailored for the youngest visitors is scheduled. Activities include face painting, creative Easter workshops, and entertaining Easter games with animators, such as egg rolling and egg-tapping competitions. For slightly older participants, there will be a table for board games and cornhole. A cheerful bunny will also hop around the square, distributing chocolate eggs and sweets to children and those who feel young at heart.

On Saturday, from 10 am to 12 pm, students and mentors from the Anton Štifanić School of Tourism and Hospitality in Poreč will host a Sweet Easter Morning. Visitors can enjoy a complimentary tasting of traditional Istrian sweets such as “pince,” “povetice,” “fritule,” “orehnjače,” “pince” with pistachio and vanilla cream, chocolate eggs, and colored Easter eggs. Additionally, there will be a chocolate fountain and other sweet surprises. DJ Mister G will ensure a lively atmosphere from 10 am to 2 pm.

On Sunday, from 10 am to 12 pm, the now-traditional free Easter brunch will be served at Trg slobode for citizens and guests of Poreč. The menu includes asparagus and bacon frittata with a glass of wine and colored Easter eggs. From 10 am to 1 pm, visitors will be entertained by talented musicians from the Big Band Pula.
