New Poreč Pedestrian and Bike Path to Connect Materada to St. Martin Cove

In a collaborative effort with local residents and the Veli Maj Neighborhood Council, the Department of Municipal Systems has launched the construction of a pedestrian and bike path connecting Materada to St. Martin Cove, a popular beach among locals and tourists alike. The path will also be equipped with public lighting to ensure the safety of pedestrians and cyclists who frequent the route, especially during the summer months.

Last month, the Veli Maj Neighborhood Council also completed the renovation of the pedestrian path near the beach in Špadići (below the so-called Meneghin house), another popular destination among locals and visitors that had suffered from tree root damage.

The new path is a much-needed improvement to the community’s infrastructure and will provide a safe and convenient way for people to enjoy the beautiful scenery while getting some exercise. We look forward to the completion of the project and the benefits it will bring to the community.
