Exciting Events in Poreč This Weekend

From today until Sunday, Poreč is buzzing with a variety of events catering to different interests.

European Regional Jet Ski Championship in Poreč

Witness thrilling action as Poreč hosts the European Regional Jet Ski Championship, Alpe Adria Jet Ski Tour 2024 – GP Poreč during the weekend. Taking place in the scenic bay of Peškera, this event attracts top competitors from across the region. Spectators can expect high-speed races, impressive skills, and adrenaline-pumping acrobatic performances by professional jet ski masters.

Poreč Motorshow

Car enthusiasts shouldn’t miss the 9th Poreč Motorshow at the Žatika parking lot on Sunday. The day starts with participant registration and vehicle inspections at 7:30 am, followed by training sessions at 10:30 am. The event’s highlight is the three official races scheduled for 12:30 pm. The day concludes with an awards ceremony at 7:00 pm, honoring the winners with special prizes.

Opera Gala Charity Concert

Enjoy a magical evening at the Opera Gala charity concert organized by the Lions Club Poreč on Saturday, April 27th. Held at the Poreč Theater, the concert features performances by acclaimed artists including sopranos Nela Šarić and Patricia Žudetić, mezzo-soprano Nera Gojanović, tenor Vladimir Garić, accompanied by pianist Gordana Pavić. Admission is free with ticket reservations available online or at the Poreč Community College during office hours. Donations will be collected at the entrance for the purchase of medical beds for the Disabled Society Poreč (Društvo invalida Poreč).

May Day Recreational Parenzana Bike Ride

On Sunday, April 28th, join the Poreč Tourist Board for the “May Day Recreational Parenzana” bike ride in Baredine. Registration starts at 9:00 am, with the ride commencing at 10:00 am. Participants can choose between two routes: a longer 30 km trail for experienced riders and a shorter 15 km trail suitable for families with children. After the ride, enjoy a complimentary lunch in Baredine, followed by a guided tour of the cave and tractor museum, accompanied by live music from the band Baredinesaurusi. Registration is mandatory and can be done online or on the day of the event at Baredine Cave.

Art Exhibition at Zuccato Gallery

For those seeking a more tranquil experience, visit the Zuccato Gallery to admire works from the 39th Riviera Art Colony, Poreč. Featuring pieces by talented artists such as David Belas, Barbara Höller, Melanie Dorfer, Omar Lović, Robin Davourie, and Mélissa Franchini, the exhibition offers a glimpse into the vibrant art scene of Poreč. The gallery is open from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, with free admission for all.
